View your report in the protected area
In the protected area of your report, the “Correspondence” page shows the full message history with the reporting office, lets you download attachments and send new messages yourself.
After logging in with your report ID and password, you arrive in the protected area of your report. There you can follow how your report is progressing through the message history, download file attachments and reply to the reporting office.
Prerequisites
- You are logged in with your “Report ID” and your “Password”.
- Your access has not been blocked by the reporting office.
Page overview
The page has the heading “Correspondence” and below it the note “Your correspondence with the reporting office” together with the name of the responsible organisation. Underneath, you see the complete message history between you and the reporting office, followed by an input area for a new message.
Reading the history and checking the status
- Read the message history from top to bottom. Each message shows the sender’s abbreviation: your own messages appear with a purple icon, messages from the reporting office with a blue icon and the designation “Reporting office”, and automatic system messages with a cyan icon and the designation “System”.
- Note the time of each message. It is shown as a relative time indication, for example
2 hours ago, so you can see when the reporting office last responded. - Check the content and the recipient group shown with the message, that is, who the message is visible to.
- For messages with file attachments, open the list of files and click “Download” to save a file to your device.
You can only see public messages and your own messages. Internal notes from the reporting office are not visible to you.
Sending a message yourself
- Enter your text below the history in the “Add a message to this report.” field.
- If you want to attach files, click “Upload files” or drag the files into the area using your mouse.
- Click “Save” to send the message.
The message then appears immediately in the message history.
What happens next
- If you send a message and enabled notifications when submitting the report, the reporting office is informed about the new message.
- If the reporting office replies to you and you have enabled notifications, you receive an email with the subject “New message regarding your report” and a direct link to your report.
Without notifications enabled, you only learn about new replies when you log in again yourself — in that case, check the protected area at regular intervals.
