Manage the internet address and QR code of the reporting form

Copy the address of the reporting form per language, give it a readable label and download the QR code for posters – all in the “Internet address” section on the organisation’s “Reporting form” tab.

The internet address is where whistleblowers reach your organisation’s reporting form. You copy the address for your intranet and emails, adjust its readable part and download a QR code for posters.

Prerequisites

  • You have the “edit” permission for the organisation in question.
  • You have opened the organisation under “Settings → Organisations” and selected the “Reporting form” tab. The “Internet address” section is at the very top.

Copy the address

  1. Use the language switcher of the “Internet address” section to select a language. For every enabled language, “Reporting form URL” shows the matching address.
  2. Click the copy icon next to the address. The URL is now on your clipboard.

Change the labelling of the internet address

The “Labelling of the internet address” is the readable part of the URL, for example my-company-reporting instead of a random string.

  1. In the “Internet address” section, click “Edit”. A side panel opens with the name of the organisation.
  2. Enter the new label in the “Labelling of the internet address” field. Letters, digits and single hyphens are allowed – no umlauts, spaces or underscores. Lowercase letters read best.
  3. Click “Save”.
  • By default, a new label must be at least 8 characters long. Support can adjust the minimum length per installation. It only applies when you change the label: an existing, shorter label keeps working.
  • Each label can only be assigned once.
  • The change takes effect immediately: the previous address no longer leads to the reporting form.

Show and download the QR code

  1. In the “Internet address” section, click “Show QR code” below the URL. The “QR code for the reporting form” window opens.
  2. Click “Download”. The QR code is saved as an SVG file and can be enlarged for posters and flyers without losing quality.
  3. Close the window with “Close”.

One QR code covers every language: when it is scanned, the language is detected automatically from the browser settings.

Practical tip

Settle on the label before the rollout and only generate the QR code afterwards. If you change the label later, replace every link, QR code and poster you have distributed, otherwise the old references lead nowhere. You adjust the logo and layout of the form in the “Appearance” section, see Choose the layout of the reporting form.
