Customize the introductory texts of the reporting form

How to adjust the three introductory texts of the reporting form: the text on the start page, the text below “Submit a new report” and the text on the information page in step 1 – in several languages if required.

Last updated:

The introductory texts let you welcome whistleblowers in your own tone of voice and explain what awaits them in the reporting form. All three texts are maintained on the “Introductory texts” tab of the respective organisation.

Prerequisites

  • You have the “edit” permission for the organisation.
  • You are on the detail page of the organisation, “Introductory texts” tab.
  • For multilingual texts, the desired languages are enabled on the organisation's “Languages” tab.

Which texts exist and where they appear

  • “Introductory text for reporting form” – appears on the start page of the reporting form directly below the heading. This is your welcome text.
  • “Introductory text for new report” – appears below the “Submit a new report” section.
  • “Introductory text for information page (step 1)” – appears in step 1 of the reporting form below the title “Information”.

Step by step

  1. Navigate to “Settings → Organisations”.
  2. Click the table row of the desired organisation. The detail page opens with the name of the organisation as its heading.
  3. Switch to the “Introductory texts” tab. It shows the three texts currently stored.
  4. Click “Edit”. A side panel opens with the title “Introductory texts”.
  5. Edit the desired fields. You can also change just one of the three texts and leave the others untouched.
  6. If several languages are enabled for the organisation, use the language switcher to move between the language versions and enter the text for each language.
  7. Click “Save”. The message “The changes have been saved successfully.” appears and the detail page reloads the new values automatically.

What happens next

  • The texts appear immediately in the organisation's public reporting form.
  • The introductory texts apply to this one organisation only – each organisation operates its own portal, which can be configured independently.

From practice: keep the welcome text short and reassuring, and name the topics that can be reported through the reporting form. Additional legal information – such as the responsible organisation, the reporting office or the links to the data protection notice and the legal notice – does not belong in the introductory texts but on the “Basic data” tab.
