Export an E1 report – formats for auditors and the management report
How to generate a shareable document from an E1 disclosure report – as a PDF, Word file, or HTML, optionally with a cover sheet, table of contents, DRAFT watermark, and a selection of individual disclosure sections.
Use the export to turn an E1 disclosure report into a document you can share – for example a PDF version for your auditors, or a Word file your editorial team uses to carry the figures into the management report.
Prerequisites
- An E1 disclosure report has been created. Export is available in every status – including while the report is still being edited.
- You are signed in to your team and have the administrator role.
Step by step
- Open the report detail page and select “Export report” under “Actions”.
- The page dialog “Export report” opens with the “Export configuration” section.
- In the “Format” selection field, choose between “PDF”, “Word (DOCX)”, and “HTML”.
- Tick “Include cover sheet with report details” and “Include table of contents” if the document will be handed over as a standalone deliverable.
- If you are releasing an interim version, tick “Include DRAFT watermark”. The document is then visibly marked as a draft.
- Limit the scope under “Sections to include (leave empty for all)”. The multiple selection contains the disclosure sections
E1-1toE1-11; if nothing is selected, all sections are exported. - Click “Export”. The generated document is provided by the browser as a download. Use “Close” to leave the dialog without exporting.
Which format for which purpose
- “PDF” – the fixed version for auditors, supervisory bodies, and your records. With a cover sheet and table of contents, the document is ready to submit without further rework.
- “Word (DOCX)” – for further processing in the management report: your editorial team moves individual sections straight into the report template and aligns formatting and wording with the overall document.
- “HTML” – for handover to web or publishing systems, and for a quick review in the browser.
What happens next
- Every export is logged in the report's activity history, so you can always trace which version was released and when.
Practical tip: when a single department has follow-up questions, export only the affected sections instead of the full report – it keeps the review lean. For the audit itself, hand over a complete PDF without the DRAFT watermark so that it is clear this is the final version.
