Edit a disclosure section and create an AI draft
How to edit a disclosure section of an E1 report in preeco | nachhaltigkeit, generate a narrative text with the AI draft and revise that draft afterwards.
You maintain the narrative texts of an E1 disclosure report per section (E1-1 to E1-11) on the report detail page – either manually in the edit dialog or as an AI draft based on the climate data you have already recorded.
Prerequisites
- The report is in an editable status: “Draft” or “Changes requested”. In the statuses “In review”, “Approved” and “Finalized”, only the view via the eye symbol is available for each section.
- You are signed in to your team and have the administrator role.
Edit a section
- Open the report detail page and switch to the “Disclosure sections” tab.
- In the row of the desired section, click the pencil icon in the “Actions” column. The side dialog “[Abbreviation] — Edit section” opens, for example “E1-1 — Edit section”, with the full section title as the subtitle.
- In the mandatory “Status” field, select one of the values “Not started”, “In progress”, “Complete” or “Skipped”.
- Enter the narrative text in the “Descriptive content” text editor.
- If you are editing section E1-6, E1-9 or E1-11, the subsection for the transitional provisions (phase-in) also appears: if required, tick the checkbox for deferring the requirement and fill in the justification field that is then displayed.
- Click “Save section”. Use “Cancel” to discard your changes.
After saving, the table shows the new status and the first characters of the text in the “Content preview” column.
Generate an AI draft for a section
- On the “Disclosure sections” tab, click the star icon in the section's row. It is available only for descriptive and mixed sections, not for purely quantitative ones.
- The side dialog “[Abbreviation] — AI draft of the narrative” opens. It shows the “Section type” (for example “Presentation”), the “Current status” of the AI generation (for example “Not started”, after successful generation “Completed”) and the note “The AI creates a report based on the available data; missing data is marked as placeholders.”
- If the section already has content, the application displays a warning: “This section already has content. If you create a new draft, the existing content will be overwritten.” Save the existing text elsewhere first if you want to keep it.
- Click “Generate AI draft”.
Revise the draft
The generated text is adopted as the section content. In the section table, the purple “AI draft” marker appears in the “AI draft” column; passages without a sufficient data basis are marked as placeholders in the content.
- Use the AI draft as a starting point and then revise it via the pencil icon.
- In particular, check the highlighted placeholders – they indicate places where source data is missing.
- Only set the “Status” to “Complete” once the text has been checked and approved.
Every section change is logged in the activity history, and the report's completeness assessment takes the new section status into account at the next submission for review.
