Discover IROs with AI

With “Discover IROs with AI” you get a first list of impacts, risks and opportunities (IROs) drawn from the data you have already recorded in preeco | nachhaltigkeit. The AI proposes, you decide: it scores nothing and saves nothing on its own.

Prerequisites

• An AI provider is configured for your team under “Settings → Integrations”. Without an AI integration the button is not shown.
• The topic’s DMA has the status “Draft”.
• You have the role Administrator, Manager or Editor.
• Your business description, facilities, suppliers, and products and markets are maintained. The less of this there is, the fewer suggestions you get.

Step by step

1. Open the topic’s DMA page, for example “Climate → DMA”, and click “Discover IROs with AI” in the “Matrix” section or in the “Impacts, risks and opportunities (IROs)” section.
2. While the AI is working, an overlay shows its progress. Click “Cancel” to stop the run.
3. Up to ten suggestion cards appear in the slide-over under “Suggested IROs”. Each shows a name and description, tags for type, sub-topic area and value chain position, and a “From:” line naming the records the suggestion is based on.
4. Click “Accept” on every suggestion you want to take over unchanged.
5. To change a suggestion first, click “Modify”. The “Add IRO” wizard opens with the suggestion filled in. Nothing is saved until you save in the wizard; if you cancel, nothing is added.
6. Click the button at the bottom right, for example “Add 2 accepted IROs”. The message “2 IROs added, unscored” confirms it. If you have accepted nothing, you see “Accept at least one suggestion, or use Modify to change one first.”

What the AI reads – and what it does not

• It reads only your own team’s data for the organisations in the CSRD reporting boundary: the company profile with sector, description, employees and countries, your facilities and your suppliers.
• It takes into account the IROs in this DMA (including archived ones) and in the other topics’ DMAs, and does not suggest anything already recorded there. Sub-topic areas you have defined not material are left out.
• No internet search, no data from other teams. Suggestions appear in your app language.

What happens next

• Each accepted suggestion becomes an IRO with the source “Our own records” – without a time horizon, score or outcome.
• The sub-topic area card counts it as “without an outcome”, and “Validate completeness” lists it until you have assessed it. Open it from the table and choose “Edit”; assessing is described in Add and assess an IRO.
• Suggestions you do not accept are discarded.

Practical tip: If the slide-over reports “No new IROs found in your records.”, the line below it says what is missing – for example a business description or your facilities. Add that master data and run the discovery again.
