Create an anti-corruption policy and training
How to record an anti-corruption policy with its scope in preeco | nachhaltigkeit and evidence the matching training with target group and completion rate – the data basis for the ESRS G1-3 disclosures.
ESRS G1-3 requires both a description of your policies against corruption and bribery and evidence of how you train employees and managers on them. You record both in preeco | nachhaltigkeit under “Governance > Anti-Corruption”: first the policy, then the training linked to it, including its completion rate.
Prerequisites
- At least one active reporting period is created for the team.
- You are logged in to your team and have the administrator role.
- A training can only be linked to a policy once that policy is active – so create the policy first.
Create the anti-corruption policy
- Open “Governance > Anti-Corruption”.
- In the “Anti-Corruption Policies” section, click “+ New Policy” at the top right. The “New Anti-Corruption Policy” side dialog opens.
- Complete the “General” section: “Title”, “Version” (for example
1.0), “Scope” (Global,RegionalorEntity-level, prefilled withGlobal) and “Effective date” are mandatory fields. - Optionally add the “Review date” – it must be after the effective date – and “Approved by” for the approving person or body.
- In the “Scope” section, select the covered subject areas using the checkboxes “Bribery”, “Facilitation payments”, “Gifts & Hospitality” and “Conflicts of interest”. At least one must be enabled before activation.
- If needed, use the “Description” section to add a “Whistleblower reference” (reference link or document ID) and a “Description” of the policy.
- Click “Create”. “Cancel” closes the dialog without saving.
After saving, the confirmation “Policy created successfully.” appears and the policy is listed in the “Anti-Corruption Policies” table with the status “Draft”. Only once it is activated does it count towards the “Active Policies” metric on the overview.
Create the training and evidence coverage
- On the same page, click “+ New Training” at the top right of the “Anti-Corruption Training” section. The “New Anti-Corruption Training” side dialog opens.
- Complete the “General” section: “Title”, “Training date”, “Training type” (
Online,In person,Workshop,Seminar,E-learning,Certification) and “Target group” (Board,Senior management,Management,All employees,High-risk roles,Third parties) are mandatory fields. - Switch on “Mandatory” if attending the training is compulsory.
- In the “Scope” section, enter the mandatory figures “Total invited” and “Completed”. preeco | nachhaltigkeit calculates the completion rate automatically from these two numbers.
- Optionally add the “Region”, choose the matching active policy under “Linked policy” and add “Notes”.
- Click “Create” (or “Cancel”).
After saving, the confirmation “Training created successfully.” appears and the training is listed in the “Anti-Corruption Training” table with title, target group, completion rate and mandatory status.
What happens next
- The completion rate feeds into the “Average training completion rate” metric on the overview page.
- Active policies and training programs are included in the generated ESRS G1 report document.
- Whether the sub-topic of corruption and bribery is subject to disclosure at all is determined by your double materiality assessment for ESRS G1.
Practical tip: create the policy as a draft first and activate it only once all subject areas in its scope have been reviewed – after activation it can no longer be edited. Then link every training to the corresponding active policy: this creates a direct reference on the detail page that documents the connection between policy and training measure for auditors.
