Managing tenants and assigning organizations
How to create, manage and correctly assign tenants to your organizational units in preeco | data protection.
Tenant management in preeco | data protection allows you to support multiple organizations or tenants in a single application instance – ideal for data protection officers who are responsible for various companies or locations.
Opening the tenant overview:
Navigate via the main menu to the area where your tenants are listed. Here you can see at a glance all active tenants and their assigned organizational units.
Creating a new tenant:
Click on „Create new tenant" and assign a unique name. Fill in the relevant fields such as company name, address and, if applicable, industry. Confirm the entry to create the tenant.
Assigning organizations:
Open an existing tenant and switch to the „Organizations" or „Assignments" area. Select the desired organizational units that are to be assigned to this tenant and save the selection.
Editing or deactivating tenants:
Using a tenant's action buttons, you can adjust its master data at any time or deactivate the tenant if needed. Deactivated tenants remain in the system for traceability.
Tip: A clean tenant structure is the foundation for legally compliant and clearly organized data protection documentation – especially if you work as an external data protection officer for multiple clients.
