Change password – here's how
How to change your password in preeco | data protection yourself in just a few steps.
You can change your password for preeco | data protection yourself at any time in your profile settings – without having to contact support. Changing your password is particularly advisable when you suspect that your password has been compromised.
Open profile settings:
Click on your name or your profile picture in the top right to open the user menu. Select "Profile" or "Account settings".
Open the password area:
In your profile, look for the "Password" or "Security" area. Click on "Change password" there.
Enter your current password:
First enter your current password for verification. This step ensures that only you can change your password.
Set a new password:
Enter your new password in the field provided and confirm it by entering it again in the "Repeat password" field. Make sure you choose a secure password: at least 8 characters, a combination of upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters is recommended.
Save:
Click on "Save" or "Change password". The new password is active immediately. You remain logged in to your current session, but you will need to log in with the new password the next time you sign in.
Tip: Use a password manager to manage secure and unique passwords for all your accounts – this way you avoid reusing passwords and permanently increase the security of your account.
