Sorting tables
Tables can be sorted by clicking on the column name, with small buttons (sorting pills) and arrows indicating the sort order. An upward or downward arrow shows the sorting, while no arrow means the column is not sorted. The order of several selected columns affects the sorting.\_Keywords: tables, sorting, columns, sorting pills, ascending, descending, arrows, order.
To sort tables by a specific column, simply click on the column name of your choice. The selected columns then appear as small buttons (sorting pills) above the table.
There are two ways to recognize which column is currently being sorted by.
Either by the small buttons (sorting pills) or by the arrows next to the column name:
- No arrow: The column is not sorted.
- Arrow up: The values are sorted in ascending order.
- Arrow down: The values are sorted in descending order.
This way you always keep an overview and can flexibly adjust the table to your needs. Please note that for the final sorting of a table with several columns selected for sorting, the order of the columns also plays a role.
