Edit a list of requirements – adjust title and association

A loaded list of requirements carries a “Designation” and an “Association” with one or more organisations. You adjust both directly in the detail view of the catalog – for example when you need to tell several catalogs of the same standard apart, or when the scope of your ISMS has changed.

Prerequisites

• The list of requirements has already been loaded.
• You have permission to view requirements specifications, and in addition the permission to edit them.

Open the detail view

1. Open “Requirements specifications”.
2. Click the line of the catalog you want to adjust.
3. Check the master data in the upper area: “Designation”, “Standard”, “Status”, “Version”, “Language” and “Association → Organisations”.

Edit title or association

1. Click “Edit”.
2. Adjust the title of the catalog, that is the value in the “Designation” field.
3. Adjust the mapping to organisations. A catalog can be assigned to one or several organisations.
4. Save your changes.

What this changes

• The changed “Designation” appears in the “Requirements specifications” overview and in the detail view.
• The “Association” controls which organisations the catalog applies to. The requirements of an active catalog appear in the “ISMS cockpit” and determine the degree of fulfilment there.
• “Standard”, “Version” and “Language” come from the loaded standard and are not changed here. If you need a different version, load another catalog.

A tip from practice: choose a designation that names the scope instead of just repeating the standard – for example ISO 27001:2022 – Northern site. As soon as you run the same standard for several organisations, the designation is the only thing that tells them apart in the overview. If you only want to take a catalog out of the active degree of fulfilment, do not change its association – archive it via “Actions” instead: all ratings are then fully retained.
