Editing a training template – uploading, sorting and filtering slides

When editing a training template, “Slides > Upload multiple slides” uploads several images as cards that you name and sort before applying them. In the “Chapter overview” view you move chapters, slides and learning checks by drag and drop; search and the “Slides” and “Learning checks” filters help in large templates.

In this video you edit a training template in preeco | datenschutz: you upload several slides, sort the content and filter it. Open the training template and click “Edit” at the top right. In the “Training content” section, expand the chapter you want, here “Data Protection in Video Conferences”. Open the menu of the “Slides” entry and select “Upload multiple slides”. Select the image files in the “Slides” field, as JPG, PNG or GIF up to 20 MB each. Each file appears as a card with a preview, file name and size. Adjust the designation on each card. It is prefilled with the file name. Change the order by drag and drop or with the buttons that move a card up or down one row. “Apply” adds the slides to the chapter in this order. To sort, make sure the “Chapter overview” view is active above the tree. Drag a chapter by its handle to the new position, here before “GDPR Principles”. Slides and learning checks move within their own group. Then click “Save”. “Slides” and “Learning checks” show only one content type. The search field finds entries by name or question text. Tip: export your presentation as numbered images. The cards then appear in the right order straight away and you only adjust the names.

You maintain a training’s content in its training template. There you upload several slides in one step, arrange chapters, slides and learning checks by drag and drop, and find any entry in a large template with search and filters.

Prerequisites

  • You may edit training templates and have access to the template through its organisation assignment or “All organisations”.
  • The template is not used in an approved training. Otherwise editing is locked, so that it stays traceable what people were trained with.

Upload multiple slides

  1. Open the training template and click “Edit” at the top right.
  2. In the “Training content” section, expand the chapter you want.
  3. Open the menu of the “Slides” entry and select “Upload multiple slides”.
  4. Select the image files in the “Slides” field (JPG, JPEG, PNG or GIF, up to 20 MB each). Each file appears as a card with a preview, file name and file size.
  5. Adjust the slide title in each card’s input field. It is prefilled with the file name.
  6. Change the order by drag and drop or with the buttons that move a card up or down one row. Take a file out again with “Remove”. If the system rejects a file, for example because of its format or size, the message appears right on the card.
  7. Click “Apply”. The slides are added to the chapter in the order of the cards.

Sort the content

  1. Make sure the “Chapter overview” view is active above the tree. Moves only take effect there.
  2. Drag chapters to their new position in the chapter list. Slides and learning checks move within their own group, also into another chapter.
  3. Alternatively, open an entry’s menu and move it up or down.
  4. Click “Save”.

A slide cannot be dragged into the “Learning checks” group or vice versa; the application then restores the previous order.

Search and filter the content

  • The “Chapter overview”, “Slides” and “Learning checks” buttons show only one content type, all knowledge questions of the template, for example. Chapters stay visible.
  • The “Search for training content” field finds chapters, slides and learning checks by name or question text and can be combined with the buttons.

Practical tip

Export a PowerPoint or Keynote presentation as numbered images (01.png, 02.png …). The cards then appear in the right order straight away and you only need to adjust the names. In the training participations overview, you can then filter results via “Filter > Result” by “Passed” or “Failed”.
