Importing data from third-party systems or XLSX into preeco
Via the user interface, users can import contacts and training participants as XLSX files themselves, with column headers in the first row. More complex existing data from third-party software or Word and Excel files, such as processing activities, are imported individually by preeco support.
Imports via the user interface
The following data can be imported as XLSX via the user interface by users themselves:
- Contacts
- Training participants
The data must be provided as an XLSX spreadsheet, ideally with column headers in the first row.
Imports via preeco support
Existing data from third-party software or Excel and Word files containing information such as processing activities cannot be imported via the user interface but are imported by us on a customer-specific basis.
From which format can data be imported
Regardless of the format in which the customer has their data, all data to be imported is first reviewed and discussed together. The data can be sent to preeco support free of charge so that we can get an overview. Word files can also be imported, provided they are well structured, for example with clear headings.
Import process
Feasibility is assessed and an effort estimate is provided. If the data is suitable for transfer and approval has been granted, a data mapping is created. Subsequently, the data is first transferred to a test system and then to the production system.
Can an import be reversed
An import cannot be reversed
Is the import first performed on a test system?
Yes
