Changing organizational structures
Changes to the organizational hierarchy in preeco | datenschutz and preeco | informationssicherheit are made by creating new organizations or renaming existing ones, as directly changing the parent organization is not possible. Afterwards, you can adjust document affiliations via "Change affiliation", also available as a bulk action in tables.

If you need to change the hierarchy of organizations (companies, divisions, and departments) in preeco | datenschutz and preeco | informationssicherheit, the best approach is as follows:
Directly changing the parent organization in the extended permissions system is not possible, as this would cause existing permissions and assignments to be lost.
In the standard permissions system, it is possible to change parent companies.
The following approach has proven effective: Create the changed organizational structure anew or rename the organizations accordingly. Afterwards, you can adjust the document affiliations via "Change affiliation" for the relevant documents. This action is also available as a bulk action in tables.
