preeco | sustainability distinguishes 13 energy types and automatically classifies each one as fossil, nuclear or renewable. You record consumption per organization, either per facility or as an aggregate for the whole organization. For every value you note the data quality – actual, estimated or proxy – and estimates require a description of the estimation method.

The software converts your entries into MWh automatically and shows the result as a live preview while you type. The conversion uses the UK Government 2026 calorific values. You can also record any fuel directly in MWh or kWh. Values without a conversion factor are rejected rather than flowing unchecked into the totals.

Every entry is checked against the previous period. If the deviation exceeds a warning threshold, a confirmation dialogue appears and you add a comment explaining the deviation before the value is saved. Typing errors and mixed-up units surface early, and auditors can see why an unusual value is nevertheless correct.

Yes. Changes to energy consumption automatically trigger a recalculation of the affected emission records. Each recalculation is noted with its reason in the activity history, so the totals of the greenhouse gas inventory always match the underlying energy data. You maintain consumption in one place only.

For energy consumption and energy production, preeco | sustainability keeps metric disclosures covering calculation methodology, data sources, estimates and limitations, value chain data, context and the change from the previous period. They are pre-filled and can be carried over from the previous period. The completeness check of the climate report shows what is still missing.

You export energy data as XLSX or CSV. In addition, the software produces a formatted PDF disclosure report on energy consumption with an annex on methodology and conversion factors. Consumption data can also be imported from source systems via the REST API once it has been enabled for your team and your user account.
