Tenant Management
Manage any number of organizations, companies or tenants centrally in preeco | data protection. Each tenant receives its own, completely separate data area with individual permissions. Switch between tenants with a single click. With white-label, you appear under your own logo and your own document branding – and in the Private Cloud and On-Premises also under your own domain. Ideal for external data protection officers, corporations and public authorities. The licence is based on employees, modules, and the hosting variant – not on the number of organizations you manage.
Multilingual Support
Create privacy policies, text modules and information obligations in 25 languages – for the interface and documents. Language-specific versions are managed centrally. Optionally, the DeepL integration automatically translates document content into the supported document languages. Ideal for international organizations and cross-tenant standardization.

With the REST API you connect preeco | data protection to your applications – ticket system, CMDB, intranet or your own scripts. The interface covers nearly all modules, from processing activities and data processing systems through DPAs, TOMs and data subject requests to tasks and file storage, for reading and writing. Access works through personal API tokens with a fixed lifetime; each token acts with the permissions of the person it belongs to. Interactive API documentation with an OpenAPI file and a version readable by AI assistants make implementation easier.
Keyboard operability, semantically structured HTML, sufficient contrast – checked in both light and dark display –, scalable font sizes, usability on narrow screens including the public training and response pages, and alternative texts for graphics. No. The license is based on the number of employees, the modules you choose and the hosting option, not on the number of organizations you manage. You manage subsidiaries, sites or client organizations within one team and switch between them with the organization selector, where frequently used organizations can be pinned. For physical separation of several teams, private cloud and on-premises are available.
In the cloud, your logo appears inside the application. In private cloud and on-premises it appears from the login page onwards, together with your legal notice and privacy information, and you use your own domain such as dataprotection.your-company.com. Regardless of the hosting option, you design documents per organization with your own logo, font, header and footer, and customize email signatures and sender.
Yes. Each person chooses their own interface language, independently of the document language, and both are available in 25 languages. The English interface consistently uses the official English GDPR terminology. For public authorities, German (public sector) terminology can be set for the whole team, for example authority instead of company, consistently across interface, documents, emails and public forms.
With confidentiality classes. For each user group you set the highest confidentiality class its members may see and assign; for individual groups, confidentiality can also be switched off entirely. Combined with the multi-level permission concept at module, document and function level, only those who actually need access receive it.
Yes. With the REST API you connect preeco | data protection to your ticket system, CMDB, intranet or your own scripts, for reading and writing across nearly all modules. The interface is enabled per team on request and per user by an administrator; access works through personal API tokens with a fixed lifetime. Further integrations are the optional DeepL translation and the connection to OpenAI-compatible AI providers. You export data as PDF, DOCX and XLSX.
Yes, via SAML2 in the private cloud and on-premises hosting options. In the cloud option, users sign in with their credentials. Private cloud additionally offers physical data separation on a dedicated virtual server, your own domain and, if required, your own mail server. Two minutes before a session ends, a notice appears that lets you extend it with one click.
The application is designed with accessibility in mind: fully operable by keyboard, including menus, tables, tree views and charts, with an overview of shortcuts via Cmd/Ctrl + /.
