Working with tables: search, filter, columns and views

All overviews in preeco use the same table. Narrow the list with the "Search term" field and the "Filter" button, sort by clicking a column header, and show or hide columns via "Columns" (including width and order). Save frequent combinations via "Views" — also for your team. Use the checkboxes and the "Actions" button to edit or export several entries at once.

In preeco | data protection and preeco | information security, every overview lists its entries in a table. All tables in the application behave the same way: what you learn once applies to processing activities, audits, risks, organizations and every other overview.

Search: Enter a term in the "Search term" field at the top left to narrow the list. The search covers all searchable content of the table. The result appears shortly after you type.

Filter: Click "Filter" to open the filter area below the search bar. Depending on the overview, different filters are available — for example "Status", "Association" (organizations), "Tags", "Designation" or date ranges. Every filter has the default option "Show all". When filters are active, remove them with "Reset filters".

Sort: Click a column header to sort the table in ascending or descending order. You can also sort by several columns in sequence. The active sorting is shown on the "Sorting" button with the number of active sortings; each sorting appears there as a pill and can be removed individually.

Show and hide columns: Use the "Columns" button to show or hide additional table columns. Your selection is saved per user. In addition, you can adjust the width of individual columns and drag and drop columns into a different order.

Save views: Use the "Views" menu to save a frequently needed combination of filters, sorting, column selection and search as a named view via "Save view". You can recall saved views later with a single click and manage them via "Edit views". You can also make views available to your entire team.

Pages and rows: Use "Rows per page" to define how many entries are shown at once (5, 10, 25, 50 or 100). Use the pagination bar to page through the results.

Edit several entries (Actions): Select individual entries with the checkboxes at the start of each row, or all visible entries with the checkbox in the header. Then run a bulk action on all selected entries via the "Actions" button — for example "Release", "Delete", "Change affiliations" or export to PDF, DOCX or XLSX. The export respects your current column selection and order.

Clicking a row opens the detail view of the respective entry. If the list is empty, the note "No data available." appears.
